Made entirely by hand from natural clay, this premium ceramic bowl features a deep, sculpted form with a six-petal rim, subtly echoing the shape of a lotus or marigold. The outer surface is left unglazed in a natural matte finish, hand-engraved with intricate floral motifs and dotted accents, reminiscent of traditional clay carvings from Indian folk art. This bowl is made using a two-stage firing process. First, the clay body is wheel-thrown and trimmed, then engraved by hand using carving tools. After bisque firing, the inner glaze is poured and finished with brush detailing. The final firing at over 1200°C seals the glaze and strengthens the body—resulting in a collectible-quality ceramic that is built to last, both structurally and aesthetically.
These bowls are produced in limited quantities to maintain quality and preserve artisan authenticity. The floral engravings are done freehand, meaning no two bowls will ever be identical. That’s what makes it special.
